Before and After: Chevron Wall & Bedroom ReDo When we posted Evita’s studio makeover last August, I was immediately drawn to the pale neutral palette with a few sprinkles of dramatic dark tones and bold colors. I was very excited to see that Evita designed her bedroom in similar hues and that she added a monochromatic chevron wall.
Style Tips and Tricks
Pattern Love Some really great pillow covers and patterned tea towels over at skinny laminx!
Property of the Week
A Vintage Home, Full of Life I found the following home on the website of French magazine Le Journal de la Maison last night and HAD to blog it. I adore homes like this one. Quirky, rustic, vintage, eclectic, colourful, mid century. Blend all those together and I’m completely smitten. I even love that fact that one window pane in the living room is partially painted pink.
Local Faves (& Raves)
Odd Couple: A Tale of Two California Lighthouses Though surrounded by much better-known attractions on the Monterey Peninsula and in Big Sur, the region’s two lighthouses unveil a unique facet of California’s heritage. Point Pinos, the city mouse, shows just how sweet life could be for a lighthouse keeper, while the Point Sur Light Station, about 25 miles south, is the country mouse that toiled and endured hardships today’s visitors shudder to imagine. Fans of lighthouses, or history, or just the seaside, are in for a unique treat.
