Reply to: job-ftfqg-1628872577@craigslist.org

Summary of Position: Ever since our home staging company relocated to a 5,500 square feet warehouse, we could not find anything properly. As our company grew, our inventory grew as well, and they are going out of control! We now own inventory enough to stage 33 homes concurrently. We need individuals who have a keen attention to detail, love to organize furniture and home accessories, making labels and maintain accurate records. More importantly, able to set up inventory checklists and logs descriptions accurately and efficiently so we can know where every piece of inventory is at any time. We also need an individual who can work on his/her own without much supervision. Basic computer skills and digital photo skill (i.e. uploading photos to computer to print) is a must. Some data entry and filing may be needed.

This will be a part-time, temporary position that roughly lasts until June 2010, with possibility of turning into a permanent position.

We recently also added a sister company that sells green real estate promotional product. We may need our wonderworks’ assistance in inventorying our existing inventory and fulfill orders, shipping, ordering supplies, etc.

Expectations: Applicants must submit a cover letter and resume expressing why he/she is the best candidate for the job. While the schedule can be flexible based on individual’s needs, we do expect employees to be on time armed with positive attitudes. The employee will not qualify for any benefits. The schedule is roughly 2-3 days a week. This is a warehouse only position, employees will not be going to job site with designers. Employees must be able to lift 50 lbs. We will be lifting furniture, loading and unloading inventory from vehicles.

Knowledge of inventory systems is a plus but not required. Organizational skill is a must.

Compensations: $12/hour. 20-30 hours per week. Part-time status. No benefits.

Accountability: Warehouse Wonderworker will report to Operations Manager directly. Employee must be able to travel to our South San Francisco warehouse location. Employee will be expected to be on target with tasks assigned: recording inventory correctly via writing and photographs, filing inventory spec sheets to appropriate binder and return furniture to appropriate storage space. Employees will be expected to keep detailed and accurate logs. Attention to detail is a must. Employee should have a good sense in organizing house goods by categorizing and grouping.

Hiring Process: there will be a paper cut based on the resumes and cover letters received. Then we will call to schedule an interview over the phone. On the day of interview, applicant will be interviewed by both General Manager and Ops Manager. Applicant will also be asked to perform tasks as part of the interview process.

* Compensation: $12/hour

* This is a contract job.
* Principals only. Recruiters, please don’t contact this job poster.
* Please, no phone calls about this job!
* Please do not contact job poster about other services, products or commercial interests.

Coming Soon, Our New Website!

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

3/4/2010 Updates: so hmmm, clearly the website hasn’t switched over… We finally had found a capable professional who can switch over the designs. We can’t wait to unveil it to you ourselves, but good things… always worth the wait!

xoxo,
Team Staged4more

——————————————————————————————

We know, we know, there has been a lot of changes at Staged4more and quite a few links on the website haven’t been working smoothly. We finally got out of our original hosting, and switched over to a better hosting program for websites. The whole process took a long time and quite a few photos got lost in the way. We also feel that the current site has not been very easy to navigate, so the new site will improve that as well with much fewer main pages.

If you have any suggestions or ideas, feel free to let us know now! We will switch over to the new site on our 4th birthday, 2/28/2010!

Happy new year,

Staged4more team

please bear with us!

back to normal :) well, semi-normal

I have been feeling pretty unbalanced and abnormal for the past couple weeks, mainly because of CSP’s Staging Convention in Toronto, San Mateo County’s Housing Expo as well as wrapping up the Sustainable Building Advisor class this past weekend.

I am actually very happy to report that while in Toronto, we (Staged4more) actually won Green Bud Business of the Year award! In additions, CSP unveiled the eStager course that I authored, which is a technology 101 course for stagers of all backgrounds and denomiations (for more of my tech work, you can go to smallbizgurltalkstech.com). It was a very nice trip indeed and seeing old friends in the staging world.

We also participated in the San Mateo Housing Expo that SAMCAR (our realtor association) hosted. It was really nice to meet a lot of visitors and agents. Also got some real great questions in regards to our Live Green Live Smart green training, which is now approved by Califiornia DRE for 8 CEUs for Realtors.

The banner on the left is actually made completely out of recycled materials. The banner itself is printed on recycled soda bottles and the stand is made from recycled aluminum. (from EcoShowPiece who was great to work with)

And YES! Finally finished up my Sustainable Building Advisor class! (Well, almost anyway. Exam in June) I really cannot believe 10 months passed so quickly. It felt bittersweet to finish up the class. It was a really robust and well-rounded program, although we could definitely do more work on social equity in green building, like affordable housing issues, etc. All and all it was a great green education. It definitely touched on a lot of the science behind green building. I appreciate while there were philosophical debates, but that was not the focus of the course. I personally feel there are just too much philosophical debates in the green world sometimes. It can get quite frustrating.

Now that these major milestones are achieved… back to our regular programming ;)
